Introduction : -Why you ? -What will the audience learn ? -How will they learn ? -Practical arrangements Who are you : -Why would audience listen to you? -Why are you relevant ? -If you have weak points that may bother you, mention them in the intro. They become an asset. Involve your audience at any time : Chose words and sentences carefully : « the fact that we are all together here implies that we are interested in learning… » « I’m so excited to be here with you… » Presentation : -Use the stage -Use your hands in symmetrical movements -Look at everybody in the room -Don’t look at the screen ! Rythm : -Pause at regular intervals -Make summaries and bridge to next point -Silence is not a threat Unexpected events : -Never apologise !! -Use them Closing : -Summarize using the audience point of view -Thank them for having listened to you -Announce the next thing on the agenda
