What is an Ecoschool? A place where we (students, teachers, parents and others) work together to learn about the environment and to take action.

What do we do at Morse? We gather information. Then we set our goals.

What do we do at Morse? We grow food and tend to animals all year round in our science room.

What do we do at Morse? We transplant our herbs and vegetables into the Gang Green garden.

What do we do at Morse? We recycle batteries, so that we can keep our soil and water clean.

What do we do at Morse? We beautify our school grounds with the 500 daffodils donated by parent council.

What do we do at Morse? We turn out the lights, or use fewer when we can.

What do we do at Morse? We bring litterless lunches to school. We use tupperware and lunch bags that can be used again and again.

What did we accomplish? Together we have earned a Silver Ecoschools certification! Well done!

How do we feel about it? Happy.

What’s next? You decide! Each class will choose representatives to attend ecoschool meetings.

Working with parents and community members, we have developed a plan to green our yard by planting several mature trees on the ashphalt.
