We Day Updates November 3, 2015 Free event - You can't buy a ticket, you can only earn it! Floor Seats! Line up announced! Get all volunteer hours turned in by Thursday to count towards helping you earn this ticket! Notified by Monday, 10/26 if you have a ticket or if you are on the top of the waiting list. If you receive a ticket, you will need to get me a signed permission slip and come to a SHORT after school meeting to register your bracelet/ticket and get your shirt on THURSDAY 10/29 in the IMC. If the time/date does work, come to my office WEDNESDAY 10/28 before school.

We Are Rafikis Purchase for $10 $5 goes as a wage to the mama in Kenya that made it $5 goes towards our “Build a School” fund/goal Order & Pay by Wednesday October 28 th – cash or check to Blaine HS School. Receive them at We Day (or the next day) Great gifts! Sell some to friends!

Pay it Forward Service Trip! Thursday, January 14 (after school) thru Monday, January 18 Registration starts TODAY! $100 holds your spot. Remainder due by January 5, 2016. will send out the link via email & remind! 80 spots total; first come first serve Parent/Student meeting on Thursday November 5 th, 7:00- 8:00pm in the Auditorium. All A-H students invited to this meeting. Fundraising – sell either cookie dough or pies/cheese cakes. Start on 11/5. Turn in after Thanksgiving break. Financial Aid application – partial only – will know within 2-3 days. Can also apply through the district if STLF runs out or you need more Youth Service Hours – 16-20 WILL count toward BIA lettering and also 2016 President’s Award.

BIA October Projects We Take Charge First week: Recycle water bottles! Take a picture and #bhsbia How many people recycled over the last 2 weeks? Next Challenge

BIA October Projects - We Scare Hunger Go out on Halloween night to collect nonperishable food donations! Costumes (or not). You can also hand out fliers with a specific date you’ll be back! Any time between now and Nov 1st All donations will go to Hope 4 Youth All hours spent collecting count as youth service hours and towards lettering! Take a picture – send to Mrs. Phillips & #bhsbia Flyers available outside my office starting Thursday after school. Pick up a packet and check off your name. Packet will be sent to your 1 st your teacher next week if you don’t pick up by Monday!

BIA October Projects - We Scare Hunger GOAL – 2015 food items collected total! GOAL – every BIA student participate! Go to at least 20 homes each with a minimum of 20 items! – GO FOR MORE! Bring in donations week of Nov. 2 nd There will be students out front with large carts to take bags/boxes between 7:10 and 7:30 Mon-Wed. Otherwise bring to Mrs. Phillips’ office if any other time. If parents are dropping off, CLEARLY LABEL “Mrs. Phillips” so it is not mixed into NHS food drive. Sign up at the next meeting: Tues Nov 10 & Thurs Nov 12 – sort & count food donations Sat Nov 14 – load food & deliver to Hope 4 Youth
