Wind is a renewable source of energy, and is gathered efficiently by turbines, which turns it into a “rotational energy” called torque, which is the energy form of wind. Wind is created by uneven heating of the Earth. By Lucas Wenger 1.bp.blogspot.com click4songs.co.cc

Wind is a renewable energy source; the supply is unlimited(at least until the sun burns out)! farm4.st atic.flick r.com (the death of a star)

ALL OVER! Wind power can be found all over the world! The main part(s) of the United States where the most can be found is in the West, Northeast, and South Alaska. www.netpilot.ca Dark=more wind power
5
To use wind power, we build a wind turbine to harness and turn the wind into energy. The wind blows the propeller around, which turns a generator to make electricity. www1.eere.energy.gov plainswindeis.anl.gov

-FREE -Needs NO fuel -Makes NO waste or greenhouse gasses -You can usually still farm on the land below -Wind farms can be tourist attractions -Good energy supply to remote areas instructors.dwrl.utexas.edu

-The wind is not always predictable -The right land to have a wind farm on is very expensive -Wind farms are ugly to some people -Wind farms can (though rarely) kill birds and bats -Wind farms can affect your or a neighbors TV -Wind farms are sometimes very quiet, and can sometimes be very loud www.nysenat e.gov

Wind (and windmills) is and was used for many things. It is and was used for: -sailing boats -grinding wheat and corn -pumping water -sawing wood at sawmills -and last but not least, gathering energy www.hickerphoto.com

Wind power causes no air or water pollution, no waste, and no greenhouse gasses. On the other hand, wind turbines occasionally do kill a bird or bat. The trees in the area must be cut down for the wind farm to be placed, so it does destroy the habitats of the animals in that area. alaska.fws.go v

-Wind produces enough energy each year for 1000000 houses! -With most wind farms, the wind only “allows” 18 hours of spinning the windmills. -wind has been used for power for over 5000 years! www.toonpool.com
