6. INVOLVING FAMILIES IN TREATMENT Consult with families Prepare families eg, realistic expectations Support for “Kinship Carers” so that they can provide positive childcare within the family – practical and financial support

7. INVOLVING FAMILIES IN TREATMENT Family therapy particularly regards relapse and medication, eg Castle Craig Family Weekends Increased access to the development of parenting skills

8. RE-INTEGRATION BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY There is a need for more half-way houses. Schemes such as Progress to Work should be more fully utilised Offer families & actively encourage them to take part in family mediation
