“The fundamental concept in Social Studies is POWER, in the same sense in which ENERGY is the fundamental concept in Physics.” The POWER lies in knowing and understanding our environment;our surroundings. Learners are empowered to handle their surroundings in the most desirable manner.

Social Studies is an important component of education. Along with other subjects, Social Studies gives the students knowledge and understanding of the CONCRETE REALITIES and situations of life, and aims at developing the skills to deal with several demands of day-to-day.

The evaluation and assessment is built into the teaching-learning process. It is spread over the entire span of the academic session. The learners are graded frequently to enhance development of almost all areas of their personality.
