Using the “authors” search. The computer only searches author and added entry names (so you can find illustrators also) of MARC records when you search by author. If you want to limit the number of books found when searching by author, be as specific as possible when entering your name, such as entering the full name of an author. For example, if you’re searching for books by Marc Brown and you only enter “Brown” in the ‘Search for’ box, the number of books you find is greater than if you entered the full name of the author. Enter last name first and first name last “Brown, Marc”.
