When a species disappears, it is extinct, meaning it can never come back. There are 1,170 animals species that are endangered.

Climate Change - Burning of fossil fuels Pollution Threats to Endangered Species Exploitation of Resources - for food has resulted in population crashes. Hunting, Poaching, Illegal Trade of Endangered Species - Some endangered species are targeted for their value.
