HISTORY BEHIND NEW AGE VERSIONS
7
Constantine orders 50 Bibles
8
H PergamosPergamos Eusebius got the manuscripts to produce this order from Constantine for 50 bibles basically straight out of Alexandria Egypt. There was a religious school in Alexandria that was know for its blending of Christianity with the Greek philosophy of Plato and Sororities etc. The head master of this school was Adamantius Origen
9
H PergamosPergamos His life's work was to take the manuscripts that were out of Antioch and to apply a technique know as “conjectural emendation” (i.e. change the text to what you think it should be. He didn’t believe that Christ was God but was a sub –god therefore he changed the manuscripts in John 1:18 He also believe the that you were saved by water baptism therefore changed the manuscripts in Acts with the Ethiopian Eunuch
10
H PergamosPergamos The VATICANUS and SINAITICUS were two of the 50 Bibles that Eusebius translated. They were produced on vellum scrolls. Therefore, having endured and are the oldest known manuscripts in existence today.
11
TISCHENDORF
12
H PergamosPergamos The SINAITICUS manuscript was found by a German liberal that study older manuscripts named Tischendorf. He found this in a Monastery on Mount Sinai in 1844. He was not able to fully receive it 1862 The VATICANUS manuscript was found in the library of the Vatican in 1473 by Jesuit Priests During the mid nineteen century Tischendorf became aware of this ancient manuscript in the Vatican library

14
WESTCOTT AND HORT THEORY
15
H PergamosPergamos B.F. Westcott and J. A. Hort produced a Greek New Testament in 1881 based on the findings of Tischendorf. All new bibles in the last 100 years are based on there Greek text.

H PergamosPergamos They don’t believe in: Deity of Christ Authority of Scriptures Hell Genesis account of creation They do believe in: Darwin's’ theory Atonement as a payment to Satan Mary Worship as equal with Christ

IS MY BIBLE CORRECT?
18
(Ecc 3:15) That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
19
7. Where is the 1 st mention of this in the Bible?
20
Turn to Gen. 3:1-6
21
1 st question 1 st He tries to get her to question God’s Word Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? (Gen 3:1) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
22
H PergamosPergamos The 1 st recorded words out of Satan’s mouth is in the form of a question. And the question is directed towards the Word of God Satan’s primary attack is not directly against the Word of God, but through the Word of God Notice the Key to understanding the attack…
23
(Gen 2:7) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Gen 2:16-17) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
24
(Gen 2:18) And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Gen 2:21-22) And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
25
(Gen 3:2-3) And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
26
H PergamosPergamos The only Word of God that Eve would have had was a translation from Adam as to what God said. Since Eve was not their for the original he is able to cast doubt to What God really said. Therefore he is able to redirect her from what God said to what God meant. (Is that what that verse really means?)
27
2 nd changes 2 nd He changes God’s Word Ye shall not surely die (Gen 3:4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Gen 2:17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
28
H PergamosPergamos We deal with that today when people say things like “this verse is not in the best or oldest manuscripts They say things like “the King James mistranslates this” or “this could have been better translate…” Therefore just like Satan became the authority in Eve’s life, the bible scholars become the authority in our life, instead of the Bible itself.
29
3 rd reinterpreted 3 rd He reinterpreted God’s Word (Gen 3:5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
30
HIS APPROACH WAS RELIGION! He even uses God’s credentials For God doth know (Gen 3:5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
31
Turn to 1 st John 5:7
32
I John 5:7-8 For there are (N) three that testify:N [b] the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.b 1 John 5:81 John 5:8 A few late mss add...in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. And there are three that testify on earth, the Spirit
33
1 John 5:7 For there are three that testify: 8 the [a] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.a 1 John 5:81 John 5:8 Late manuscripts of the Vulgate testify in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. 8 And there are three that testify on earth: the (not found in any Greek manuscript before the sixteenth century)
34
Turn to Mark 16:9-20
35
Mark 16:9 (New American Standard Bible) 9 [ [a] Now after He had risen early on the first day of the week, He first appeared to (A) Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.aA Footnotes: Mark 16:9 Later mss add vv 9-20Mark 16:9
36
Mark 16:9 (New International Version) ((The most reliable early manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20.)) 9 When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.
37
H PergamosPergamos Because we are just common people without a working knowledge of Greek and Hebrew we are now relying on the Bible Scholars to lets us know for sure what is and what isn’t the Word of God. Because we don’t have access to the manuscripts we must rely on the bible scholars to tell us what God really meant.
38
? And the common people heard him gladly (Mar 12:37-38) David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly. And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39
(1Co 1:27-28) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
40
(Rev 2:6) But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (Rev 2:15) So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
41
What about experiences?
42
Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet (Deu 13:1-3) If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
43
that steal my words every one from his neighbour that use their tongues, and say, He saith I sent them not, nor commanded them (Jer 23:30-32) Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine by good words and fair speeches (Rom 16:17-18) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. ROME
46
CORINTH corrupt the word of God (2Co 2:17) For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. walking in craftinessnor handling the word of God deceitfully (2Co 4:2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
47
GALATIA another gospel there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ (Gal 1:6-7) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
48
PHILIPPI in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached (Php 1:18) What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers (Php 3:2) Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. they are the enemies of the cross of Christ (Php 3:18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
49
COLOSSAE (Col 2:4) And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
50
THESSALONICA nor by word, nor by letter as from us, (2Th 2:1-2) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, (1Th 2:13) For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
