If you have any questions, please ask. Missed assignments: You will be allowed 5 days maximum to make up work. This does not mean that you have 5 days to ask for missed work (notes, assignments, tests, quizzes, etc.). It is your responsibility to ask for make up work as soon as you return to school. If it is not received and completed within assigned time, you will receive a zero. Testing: If you plan to make up a test or are planning on retesting it needs to be completed before the next testing date. (For example: if the student is out on a Friday, and the next unit test is the following Friday, make up testing will need to be completed by that Thursday, before the next unit test. No exceptions will be made unless teacher approves. Failure to make up the test will result in a grade of 0. INCOMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS Good work habits and organizational skills are a must to be successful in the workforce! These habits need to be developed in high school. Late assignments will be accepted within the designated time frame (5 days). However, late work will result in a maximum grade of 80. Health Occupation Students of America – membership fee $20/yr

Making the grade Classroom grading scale is as follows: Tests/Projects40% Quizzes35% Class Work/Homework25% Total 100% All tests are cumulative. You should make at least 80% on each test. This shows that you understood the information covered. If you fail your test you need to attend learning center for remediation and then schedule a make up test with the testing center. I will average the two test for your new grade. (Test will/may differ) 84% = 2.50 83% = 2.375 82% = 2.250 81% = 2.125 80% = 2.00 Grading Scale 96%-100% = 4.0 83% = 2.375 95% = 3.875 82% = 2.250 94% = 3.75 81% = 2.125 93% = 3.625 80% = 2.00 92% = 3.50 79% = 1.875 91% = 3.375 78% = 1.750 90% = 3.25 77% = 1.625 89% = 3.125 76% = 1.500 88% = 3.00 75% = 1.375 87% = 2.875 74% = 1.250 86% = 2.75 73% = 1.125 85% = 2.625 70-72% = 1.00 84% = 2.50 <69% = 0.00 REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR NOTEBOOK TO CLASS EVERY DAY!
