Printing: Your printer might not print the same way our printers do, so make sure to try a couple of test prints. If things aren’t aligning quite right, experiment with the Scale to Fit Paper setting. It’s located in the Print dialog – just click Full Page Slides to get to it. And did you notice we made fold marks for you? They are really light, but if you don’t like them showing on your brochure, click View, Slide Master, and delete them before you print. Customizing the Content: If you need more placeholders for titles, subtitles or body text, just make a copy of what you need and drag it into place. PowerPoint’s Smart Guides will help you align it with everything else. By the way, if you need to move or copy the red lines, you can select them by clicking the dotted outlines. Truancy Intervention Program (TIP) is Beaver County’s effort to reduce truancy in our local schools. It is a means for Magisterial District Justices to offer alternatives to fining families of first time offending truant students The program also includes a preventative measure working cooperatively with all fourteen Beaver County school districts and their Student Assistant Program (SAP) coordinators to identify students who may be approaching critical truancy levels and are on target to be sent to Court. School meetings are provided to parents and students as an opportunity to develop a new strategy in improving school attendance as well as a chance for a more successful future How does TIP help you? There are a couple ways we can provide help to you and your student if he or she is struggling with school attendance: We can meet with you and your school representative to discuss your concerns about your child’s school attendance. During that discussion we can offer services and support to you regarding this matter. Should you not participate in a truancy school meeting, the school district may file a truancy citation requiring you to appear before the magistrate. We can provide support and help to you at Court as well: The TIP coordinators attend most truancy hearings in Beaver County. At the hearing, the Magistrate may order you to attend a one-time truancy class which must be attended by a parent and the child. At Court we will provide you with details of the upcoming class. After class attendance, your family may be eligible for other services which our coordinators will determine. The coordinators will also continue to monitor your child’s attendance over the next six months of school to provide assistance if needed.
