Chapter 1 Sampson – dark curly hair, honey-gold skin Brother Mother
Strict, physically hits children when they do something wrong Gets hurt by fixing park bench Stone falls on him Goes to the hospital Introduced to the medical field He is fascinated by the process of medicine

Chapter 2 Rameck Attends Catholic School He gets bored in school
Spends a lot of time in the office in trouble Was sent to the office because he was throwing pencils in the air to hit the ceiling Principal seems to think putting Rameck in a lower class will solve all of his problems Principal wants the tuition bill paid, makes a point to tell Rameck Rameck becomes upset Gets into a fight With someone who bully’s him The fight goes unnoticed Goes home and sees his grandmother He expresses concerns about his school Grandmother says she will talk to his mother about transferring schools.

Chapter 3 George Likes school Has a good relationship with his teacher
Get insulted by a woman. He learns that people judge. Starts to think about college

Chapter 4 Sampson dreamed of becoming a baseball player
Area in which they played in was filled with weeds and unpaved area Sampson gets caught stealing icees. Learns a lesson not steal.

Chapter 5 Rameck gets money from grandma for acting pictures (G & T program) Give it to his mother for bills. Grandma warned him not to trust mom.

Chapter 6 George goes to the dentist
He becomes interested in dentistry

Chapter 7 Sampson sees his friend Razor die.
He was tricked into shoplifting by his friend Eddie.

Chapter 8 George and Sampson meet for the first time.
They are taking a test to get in the University of High School.

Chapter 9 Rameck – 9th grade
George and Sampson meet Rameck for the first time. They acknowledge Rameck’s performance at the play. Rameck misses his old friends. Gets in a fight with Arlington boys Gets shot at Realized he is struggling in life.

Chapter 10 Sampson – 9th grader Goes to Harlem for drugs and money
Finally understands the wrong path he is traveling. He wants to change.

Chapter 11 Rameck leds a protest to include black history in the curriculum Curriculum is changed Rameck silly strings the teacher Gets suspended Almost gets expelled

Chapter 12 11th grade All the boys start to bond
Attend Seton Hall University Presentation Their Friendship Pact begins They decide a career in Medicine may be in their future

Chapter 13 11th Grade Rameck beats up and stabs crackhead
Goes to jail during Thanksgiving Is released from jail

Chapter 14 12th Grade Sampson is arrested for armed robbery
Was trying to rob a drug dealer, instead it was the police. Goes to Juvenile Detention He is put on probation

Chapter 15 All boys are accepted to Seton Hall

Chapter 16 Boys attend a 7 week pre-session to college.
They find it challenging. Rameck is not use to the discipline involved in the program. Carla (the program director) notices it and talks to Rameck. Physician dress code is addressed. The boys attest that they will dress the way their community is fashioned. They do not want to change who they are or compromise their culture.

Chapter 17 Rameck assaults another student in his dorm
No charges are pressed The boys feel like they are in a different world while they are in college They start a club to benefit local students. The club invites children from urban areas to visit the campus

Chapter 18 George and Rameck create their own RAP group.
They perform at a few places but never have that big break. Rap World – East-West war concerns the boys. They decide to continue with college.

Chapter 19 The boys split. George struggles to focus in school.
Rameck and Sampson – Medical School George - Dental George struggles to focus in school. George lives at home Robbed at gun point

Chapter 20 Rameck and his friend Dax are driving home.
They get stopped by the police Rameck has a pocket knife on him. He get charged with possession of a deadly weapon He lawyer never shows up to help him He gets a new lawyer They misplace the evidence All charges are dismissed.

Chapter 21 Sampson struggles with school
He fails he exam the first time, passes the second time. He wants to become an ER doctor He finds a residency program in ER Medicine.

Chapter 22 They all graduate Medical School

Conclusion They all initially worked in Newark, how they work in East Orange and Newark They started a Foundation called The Three Doctors Foundation
