Manufacturing Robots are great for doing tedious labor jobs such as mass production, so many companies have made robots that can mass produce a product. Check it out! Forward
9
Space Robots are used to gather information about space as well. Check out this video of the rover “Curiosity” landing on Mars Aug. 2012! Forward

Military The military has also adapted to robots. They use robots for anything they can because losing a robot in battle is much better than losing a person. Watch the video to see a short clip of what the military is doing! Forward

Arms There are many different types of arms which all do different things. Some arms are used to pick up objects, some arms drill while others weld. Forward
13
Legs There are several legs as well. Legs are used for different obstacles whether it is stairs or gravel. Forward
14
Programming Robots are either remotely controlled or programmed. When a robot is programmed, such as the robot that was making the Hershey Kisses, it repeats a process repeatedly. Most manufacturing robots are programmed to reduce manual labor that is repetitive. Forward
15
Prices How much do these pieces of metal cost? A NAO robot can cost anywhere between $4,000 and $16,000 dollars. This robot can only be purchased for educational and research uses only. ForwardBack

Is our future very bright? Look at cars today, they seem very simple right now, but did you know some cars can park themselves, most have cruise control, and some have GPS tracking/locating. In the near future, skeptics believe that cars will be driving themselves, also known as autopilot. Who knows, the creators of the trilogy “Transformers” may have been onto something! Forward
