SDIR Example Valid claim begins, Assurity provides the contractual payments of $3,000 per month. Now Social Security DI approved and will pay $500 per month. Policy has a $3,000 monthly benefit $2,000 Base Benefit + 1,000 SDIR $3,000 Assurity Pays: $2,000 Base Benefit $500 SDIR Social Security DI Pays: $500 TOTAL MONTHLY BENEFIT: $3,000 ($2,500 Assurity, $500 SSDI)

Return of Premium Rider provides a return of premium paid for policy and certain riders, less any claims paid, according to a schedule. 100 percent of premiums may be returned to policy owners that were ages 18-44 at issue if the policy lapses after 25 or more years. 50 percent of premiums may be returned to policy owners that were ages 45-55 at issue if the policy lapses after 10 or more years.
