My Birth I was born on May twelfth, 1992, in Ross Memorial Hospital, or so I’m told (I can’t remember any of it). This is where my brothers and sister were born as well. After my birth, I was told that instead of crying like most other babies, I looked around the room silently, until the doctor smacked me, that is. I’m not sure if this is a sign of something good, bad or nothing at all, and I’ve yet to find out.

My Best Childhood Memories There are two memories in particular that stand out for me more than others. I don’t recall my age at either time. One is when I jumped off of the garage roof and sprained my ankle, the other is climbing up a tree and refusing to come down. I don’t climb trees often anymore, or garages for that matter.

Day at School My first day at school was another of the few moments I can vividly remember. I can see in my mind the bus I went to school in, the tree that I hid behind and the door that I entered to get into the school itself. I even remember the first kid I was friends with, before we moved for the first time.

The Middle Grades In grades six, seven and eight I was more social than I am now. That’s probably because I was in the same school with the same people for a few years, so it was easier to make friends there. Another reason may have been because I was living in a more familiar environment. Whatever the reason, I had the friends there that I probably won’t make anywhere else, or try to.

High School Back then, life was easier. Even entering high school wasn’t a problem in Ontario. Subjects seemed to be easier, and yes, more enjoyable. I always had someone I liked and knew in each of my classes. Now, there are very few that I know, and fewer that I talk to regularly.

What I Did Then I think there were more fun things to do in Ontario, like go to the beach or the park. I also had a bike, and I miss biking more than all other activities. There is no point in dwelling on the past, though. What has happened, has happened.

What I do Now There is no park where I live now, but there is a section of wood behind our house that I go into some days. Me and my brothers made a small project that we, or at least I, intended to get finished. We were building forts in the woods, using broken trees and logs to make them.

High School Now Nowadays, I just try to get my work done and head home at the end of the day. That is how each and every day goes by, at least in school. I didn’t want friends, so I didn’t make any.

My Ambition I had hoped that I would become what my seventh-grade self wanted. That was to become a lawyer. I am not so sure about that now. I’ve been writing a “novel” for some time now, with little success. I was hoping to be an author, but maybe that, too, won’t work. I can’t figure out what to do now, but I may have a new ambition someday.
