3. Eleanor Roosevelt and Franklin Delano Roosevelt Eleanor Roosevelt was FDR’s 5 th cousin once removed. They got married on March 17, 1905. Franklin Delano Roosevelt died of Cerebral hemorrhage. Eleanor helped Franklin with press conferences and voting rights for women. They had 6 children.

4. Eleanor Roosevelt as First Lady She helped her husband throughout his presidency because he had Polio and he could not walk. She helped during WWI with the Red Cross During the Great Depression she worked at a soup kitchen. She helped the woman and the poor to receive their voting rights.
