5. INTERESTED IN RUNNING FOR THE COSP PLANNING COMMITTEE?  The COSP Planning Committee is composed of 4 State Presidents. One from each region of North, South, East, and West.  At Annual Convention 4 representatives are elected, and 1 is elected as COSP Chair. At Mid-Year Convention 3 representatives are elected from the regions not taken by the COSP Chair.  The COSP Chair serves a 1 year term, while the COSP representatives serve a 6 month term.  Eligibility Requirements are as follows: you must be a state President or President-elect, be the state President for at least ¾ of your term on COSP, if a member of the COSP Planning Committee is no longer able to fulfill their duties as state President, they lose their eligibility to serve on the COSP Committee  If you have any questions about running for the COSP Planning Committee feel free to talk to us during the break!

9. WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE RULES  On the first turn, person #1 chooses a gift, opens it, and it is admired by all... you hope! On the second turn, person #2 gets the choice of "stealing" any unwrapped gift (#1's) or choosing a wrapped one. On the third turn, person #3 gets the choice of "stealing" any unwrapped gift (#1's or #2's) or choosing a wrapped one. Game continues based on the following:  1. - If a gift is stolen from you, you can steal a gift from someone else (see #3 and #4 below), or open a new one.  2. - Turns proceed until everyone has a gift. A turn is ended when a gift is opened and (hopefully) admired by everyone.  3. - A gift cannot be stolen more than once in a turn.  4. - The third "owner" of a gift gets to keep it - it is unavailable to be stolen again.  At the end of the last turn, the first person (who had no choice at the beginning) can choose to put back his or her gift and steal any gift that is still available - see #4 above. Then the gift "exchange" is started again (see #3 and #4 above) and ended when someone either chooses or is forced to take the gift given up by person #1.

11. INTERESTED IN RUNNING FOR THE COSP PLANNING COMMITTEE?  The COSP Planning Committee is composed of 4 State Presidents. COSP PLANNING COMMITTEE ELECTION  Each candidate must be nominated by their election area of North, South, East, and West.  Each state President is allotted 1 vote from within their election area, state President-Elects are not eligible to vote.  State Presidents and the NSNA Board of Directors are allotted 1 vote for the COSP Chair position  Voting will take place by Secret Ballot  The current COSP Planning Committee aids in the voting process while the tellers from the Nominations and Elections Committee Count the ballots.
