Man Has A Soul At creation (Gen. 1:26-2:7; 1 Cor. 15:45) Having a soul is the great feature that separates man from animals The soul is eternal There will be judgment (2 Cor. 5:10; Col. 3:24-25) Results of that judgment are eternal (Matt. 25:46) The greatest possession any of us have is our soul (Mk. 8:34-37)

Destiny Of The Soul Everlasting punishment or eternal life (Matt. 25:46) Revelation 14:9-11; 20:10; 21:8 (This is the end of those who are lost) Revelation 21:4; 22:3 (This is the end of those who are saved). John saw souls in heaven (Rev. 6:9; 20:4)

Therefore, we see passages that discuss the salvation of the soul (James 1:21; 1 Pet. 1:9) Salvation of the soul is salvation from sin because sin has a direct bearing on the soul’s destination (Eze. 18:20; Prov. 8:36; Rom. 6:23)

Able To Save Notice the passages that directly mention the ability of the Word of God to save (Rom. 1:16; 1 Cor. 15:1-2; Eph. 1:13; 2 Tim. 3:15; James 1:21) Jesus came with purpose to deliver the gospel for the salvation of souls (Acts 10:34-43) Jesus came to call sinners to repentance (Lk. 5:31-32)

Jesus came to save sinners (Matt. 1:21; 1 Tim. 1:13) His message, the gospel: Is to be taken to all people everywhere (Mk. 16:15) To entrusted men (2 Tim. 2:2) Those words save (Acts 11:14)
