Read the text. 1.What happened after Moses broke the 10 Commandments the first time? 2.Explain what the Jews have to do to be part of this new Covenant? 3.Find and explain 3 blessings God is promising if they keep the Commandments 4.What curses will happen if the Jews break it? 5.What does Moses do, to seal the Covenant and make it serious? **Would you sign up to the God’s Covenant with Moses? Explain why/ why not.

The 10 Commandments are harder to keep for adults, than for children. Do you agree? With your partner, find 3 reasons for YES and 3 reasons for NO.

Draw the broken heart. On one half, label 3 ways the Jews could suffer from breaking the Covenant (the penalties). One the other half, how God could suffer. What could God do next? As time went by, the Jews did break the Commandments and the Laws. They did “cut themselves off from God”.
