Predicting the ending of a movie… To predict ( 预测 ) means to foresee ( 预知 ) something that might happen. Example: I predict that it will rain every day! Today we will predict the ending of a movie!

Predicting the ending of a movie... Vocabulary words: Clover – a type of flower. Horton – the elephant’s name. Speck – a small piece of dust ( 花粉 ) from a flower.

Predicting the ending of a movie... Vocabulary words: Who: a fictional ( 虚构的 ) animal that lives on the speck. Whoville: the town where the Who animals live. Vulture: a type of ugly, large bird

Predicting the ending of a movie... Instructions: 1. Watch the movie carefully! 2. You will be asked to “predict” ( 预测 ) the ending of the movie. 3. No sleeping!
