11. Sin Brings Slavery Overcome and enslaved –Desire for riches? Serve mammon (Matthew 6:24; 1 Timothy 6:9-11) –Desire for power? Serve our own lusts (1 John 2:15-17) –Desire for fame? Serve other’s wishes (John 12:42)

12. Sin Brings Slavery Desire for freedom ends in destruction –Always begins with a desire (Matthew 15:18-20; James 1:13-16) –Produces action (1 Kings 21) –Ends in destruction (Romans 6:23) –Sin is an act of war against God
