“Show Me The ….” Barry Bakin, a recognized ESL/technology authority, says that students’ acquisition of technology skills contributes to the students’, teachers’, and schools’ economic success, because it increases students’ employability, program attendance, and CASAS benchmarks. He also says using technology makes him a better teacher. A win win situation

Think about how you can use the computer to improve your lesson. Look at what other teacher’s have done. Do a student-needs assessment (p 4). Prep them and Pair them up. + Santa Ana material . Note dif poss explained in next screen.

Start simple. Show them a page from software such as All Star, Oxford Picture Dictionary, Side by Side, Pronunciation Power etc. and/or sites. (I’ll show you some now if possible, but plan for the impossible. Directions in my handout p.8).
