2. Author The charter was written by King James I and people working for him (we never knew King James I was a talented writer).

3. When/Where was it created? The charter was created in the city of London, on April 10, 1606 (which is a long time from now. Its just over 400 years!).

4. Intended Audience The charter was intended for a request for permission, so the audience was meant to be the French government to grant their charter.

5. Purpose of the Charter The reason the Charter was produced was to tell how the settlers would live in Virginia, and also to grant permission to spread Christianity through the east coast of America.

6. The Main Idea The main Idea of the Charter was the Christians in Europe specifically London, wanted to spread their religion in America.

7. Significance It’s significance is to tell about how those of London wanted to spread their religion to those who already live in Virginia. They want to teach them their opinion of true knowledge and worship of God.
