Scientific Method: Procedure used to test an observation 1)Make an observation 2)Form a hypothesis that can be tested 3)Test the hypothesis using depended and independent variables 4)Interpret results to see if it supports the hypothesis. 5)Compare your findings to others to create theories and laws

New Terms: Independent Variable: Part of the experiment that you change. Dependent Variable: Outcome of the dependent variable Models: Used to help describe laws and theories Laws: Explain what will happen not why. Theories: Explain why things happen. These can be proven wrong.

Reflection: 1)Did we notice a relationship during the jump lab? 2)Could we come up with a theory or law based on the results of the lab? 3)What other independent variable could we have tested during the jump lab? Also, think of sub groups. 4)What were the major sources of error?
