9. EN1090 Compliance

10. CE Marking & EN1090 applies to all fabricated structural products CE Marking of construction products was introduced in the Construction Products Directive (CPD) in 1989. The CPD was a European Directive that seeks to remove barriers to trade and applies to all construction products. On 1 st July 2013 the CPD was replaced by the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). This is mandatory in all member states. The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) requires structural steel (including stainless steel) and aluminium products to be CE marked. EN1090 is a supporting standard which sets the requirements for conformity assessment of steel and aluminium structural components
