Internal Review Process The district and every school produces an accreditation report that includes their … Demographic profile and unique features/challenges. Statements of purpose (mission, vision, goals, beliefs). Notable achievements and areas of improvement over the last 3 years. Areas for improvement in the next 3 years.

Internal Review, Continued Self-assessment ratings, analysis, and evidence on each standard and indicator. Stakeholder feedback (survey) results and analysis. - staff 60% participation - students 40% participation - parents 20% participation Student performance results and analysis. Statements of compliance with AdvancED Assurances. Accreditation reports are managed through ASSIST.

External Review, Continued Exit Report: The QAR Team identifies … Powerful Practices (district) Opportunities for Improvement (district) Improvement Priorities (required district actions) Index of Education Quality Score (district and schools) Recommendation for Accreditation

External Review, Continued IEQ scores range from 100 – 400 in four categories... Overall Score Teaching and Learning Impact (standards 3 and 5) Leadership Capacity (standards 1 and 2) Resource Utilization (standard 4) District scores are based on QAR Team ratings and are compared to the AdvancED network average.

Timeline, Continued August/September 2015: Review standards and process with faculty, staff, and school council. Begin administration of stakeholder surveys. Organize teams to manage components of the self- assessment and accreditation report.

Timeline, Continued October/November 2015 Complete analysis of stakeholder feedback. Complete analysis of student performance data. Complete ratings and analysis of standards. Compile evidence (electronically) to support the self-assessment.

Timeline, Continued November/December 2015 Ensure all components of the school accreditation report are completed. Make the complete report available for review and feedback from faculty, staff, parents, and school council. Submit the school report to the district accreditation team so as to inform the district level report.

Timeline, Continued January 2016 Submit final accreditation reports on ASSIST. Ensure the school website is up-to-date. Publish the accreditation report on the school website. February 2016 Identify staff, parent, and community members who will participate in interviews.

Timeline, Continued March 13 – 16, 2016: Host the external review team. Sunday, March 13: QAR Team planning. Monday, March 14: Superintendent presentation and QAR Team interviews at the district office. Tuesday, March 15: QAR Team school visits, including stakeholder interviews and classroom observations. Wednesday, March 16: QAR Team presents findings to the Superintendent and Board of Education.
