The Waterloo Bridge is located in river Thames London-England, UK. The South End of the bridge is in the area known as South Bank. That area includes Royal Festival Hall, Waterloo Station, Queen Elisabeth Hall, Royal National Theatre, and the National Film Theatre (directly beneath the bridge).

The First Waterloo bridge was designed in 1809- 1810 it opened in 1817. The Second Waterloo bridge opened in 1945, 70 years ago

When the first waterloo bridge opened it was a toll bridge that was built out of granite. The designer of the bridge was John Rennie. The First bridge also had 9 arches. The second bridge was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and the bridge only had 4 arches.

The second bridge was a total length 375meters in feet is 1,230 with a width of 24 meters in feet is 80

As you have probably found out there has been two waterloo bridges the first and second bridge. The first bridge was nationalised in 1878 and given to Metropolitan Board of works who removed the toll from it. The second waterloo bridge is a Arch, Box girder bridge
