5 Example of the Importance of Function Investigation of Check In / Check Out Literature Examination of studies revealed that students whose behavior was attention maintained were more likely to respond Students whose behavior was escape maintained required adaptations to the standard protocol Need to think functionally to match interventions with need; there is no standard Tier 3 intervention
