1
Testing the possibility of detecting the light emitted by the PPS.
2
The chamber has two windows { }. A way to couple the camera to the windows is needed. must be done such that : Moving the camera from window to window is easy No external light enters the chamber
3
The closest focus distance is ~30 cm. So, an extension “cone” should be added. The cone should be sealed so no external light penetrates.
4
The lower part of the cone should have a few cm rim. Should be attached to the upper side of the chamber, possibly with velcro (which would be glued to the chamber) The upper side of the cone is screw based and can be mounted with the lens (+camera) or sealed with a cap.
5
The shape of the side window is not completely clear. the bottom part of the cone should be fitted to the curvature of the chamber’s side Also with a large rim attached to the chamber’s side
6
The camera is mounted on a tripod. The lens is screwed on the top part of the cone, which is attached to the chamber.
7
We are still waiting on the arrival of the camera, lens, tripod. The design of the chamber is not completely clear to us, to build a specific apparatus we need the dimensions of the chamber
8
We have started studying simulations with Garfield We would like to Skype meet with J on Thursday.
