3 Meet Miss Lippert *Teacher for 25 years – 24 years teaching middle school core * Multiple Subjects Credential * Single Subject Credential in English * Masters Degree in Education * Reading Specialist Certificate * Currently working on completion of Doctorate in Education – Focus on Gifted education * GATE Certified – Lead GATE teacher Goals– Help students become organized and responsible in order to maximize their academic potential and prepare them for success in high school. Get students as excited and enthusiastic about learning as I am about teaching!

14 Student Responsibility We are encouraging eighth- grade students to become their own advocates! Students should be communicating with the teachers. Students should be checking Aeries. If they notice a mistake with their grade, they should speak to the teacher.

16 Beckman Honors Criteria Honors students will need to meet all of the following in order to be considered for the pre-AP course Ancient Civilizations Honors and English I Honors: * Grade: A or B+ in social studies for Ancient Civilizations Honors A or B+ in language arts for English I Honors * 2015 CAASPP :Standard Exceeded * STAR test:Above Average * CitizenshipOutstanding/Satisfactory * Work HabitsOutstanding If your child is eligible for Ancient Civilization Honors, please note that this course is designed to help students transition into World History (AP) as a sophomore.
