Sexually active youth aged 15-24 have the highest STD rates of any group By age 25, half of all sexually active young people will become infected with an STD US has the highest rate of STDs in the industrialized world (19 million new infections per year) and 50% are among youth ages 15-24 Young women, youth of color, young men who have sex with men and incarcerated youth are at higher risk
