AKA (also known as) PTSD combat distress shell shock Symptoms: nightmares flashbacks from war reliving the war feeling emotionally cut off from others feeling numb not caring about former interests feeling endangered feeling anxious, jittery, panicked, or irritatible having difficulty sleeping, focusing, relating with family/friends Reactions/Results: inability to keep a job drinking/drugs divorce feeling lost or alone loss of family support depression harming self or others suicide
