Sea Level Rise Adaptation Primer; A toolkit to build adaptive capacity on Canada’s Coasts Kari Tyler, Climate Action Secretariat, BC Ministry of Environment Warming Oceans and Rising Tides: Coastal Adaptation in Northwest BC October 21, 2015 | Prince Rupert
2
Sea levels have risen ~ 20cm since 1901, faster than at any time during the last 2000 years. The future rate of sea level rise will very likely exceed that observed during 1971–2010 “We are committed to climate change, and effects will persist for many centuries even if emissions of CO2 stop.”
