A firm intention; the quality of being resolute; firmness of purpose; fixedness. Spiritual Determination

Examples of men of faith being resolute:
Job: “…made a covenant with my eyes…” (Job 31:1) Joshua: “…me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15) Josiah: “…began to seek the God of his father David…” (2 Chronicles 34:3)

Daniel: “…made up his mind that he would not defile himself…” (Daniel 1:8)
Ezra: “…set his heart to study the law of the LORD and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.” (Ezra 7:10)

The gospel teaches us to cultivate like spiritual fixedness; firmness of purpose.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,…” (Matthew 5:6) “Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.” (5:41) “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness…” (6:31)

“…pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.” (1 Timothy 6:11)
“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God,…” (2 Timothy 2:15) Encourage one another day after day,…” (Hebrews 3:13) “…be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall,…” (Hebrews 4:11)

“…having done everything, stand firm.” (Ephesians 6:13) “… Prove yourself faithful until death.” (Revelation 2:10)
