Life Is A Temporary Assignment
2
In order to make the best use of your life, you must never forget two important truths…..
3
Two Important Truths 1.Compared to eternity, life is brief 2.Earth is only a temporary residence
4
Psalm 39:4 Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. “Lord, let me know my [life’s] end and [to appreciate] the extent of my days; Let me know how frail I am [how transient is my stay here].

You Were Made for Eternity This (Earth) is Preparation for Heaven – It's the warm up act – It's Kindergarten – It's PreSchool – It's Jog around the track before the real race Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

James say it’s like a puff of smoke or wisp of steam from a cooking pot 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
7
Earth was never intended to be permanent in God’s plan 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. AMP For we know that if the earthly tent [our physical body] which is our house is torn down [through death], we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
8
Your earthly family or your physical family was never made to last forever However, your Spiritual Family will last for eternity

Matthew 22:30 KJV For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God[a] in heaven. Matthew 22:30 NLT For when the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. In this respect they will be like the angels in heaven.
10
In view of the fact that life is a temporary assignment, What should we be focusing on? KNOWING GOD LOVING GOD
11
Knowing God 1 Timothy 6: 20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. LB 21 Some people have missed the most important thing in life – they don’t know God!
12
How do you know when you are not Knowing and following God? God has given us a warning light; a warning sign It goes off every time you get disconnected from God The warning light is this….. WORRY When we worry we are acting like God does not exists You act as if its all up to you, that God does not have resources You act as if God has not given you promise after promise…. You are acting like an Orphan Let’s look at Matthew 6:32
13
Matthew 6: 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. People who don’t know God are always worrying Look at verse 33
14
Matthew 6:33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
15
Loving God 25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
