STEPS TO ADDING A PRINTER 1.Find the Printer 2.Identify the IP Address of said printer (make sure connected to internet) 3.Add Printer (and driver) to your computer 4.Name the Printer 5.Print Test Page to the Printer

FIND THE PRINTER 1.Go to the printer you wish to add 2.Make sure it is connected to the internet and power cord

IDENTIFY IP ADDRESS Many different printers in the building… IP Address can be found these ways: 1.Written on side of the printer 2.Found in a viewable menu screen on printer 3.Printed from printer in settings print off 4.Look in someone who already prints to it’s computer settings. Write the IP Address down, if you find more than one, write them all.

ADDING PRINTER TO YOUR COMPUTER 1.Click “Start” then “Devices and Printers” 2.When in Devices and Printers, click “Add a Printer” 3.You’re adding a network printer, click that.

ADDING A PRINTER STEP 2 1.Click the Printer wasn’t Listed 2.Make sure “Add printer using IP Address” is selected. 3.Type the IP Address into the line and leave Autodeetect selected. 4.It will try to locate the driver on its own…

ADDING A PRINTER STEP 3 1.Name the printer whatever you like 2.Select do not share the printer 3.Check the box if you want it to be the default printer (printer without selecting it) 4.Select print a test page and go get the test page off the printer.
