3 Why Incorporate Competition? Relayers love a little friendly competition that offers prizes and bragging rights Competition offers a chance to make a greater impact in a set period of time on the fight against cancer and the opportunity to make your Relay event a success!

7 Examples Thousand Oaks: challenged Relayers to send out as many emails as possible within one week. The participant or team who sends the most messages via the Participant Center during the time period wins a "Fast Pass” to all the waiting lines at Relay. Cal State University Northridge: challenging participants to raise $48 each in 48 hours. The individual who raised the most in the time period received the 2 tickets to Disneyland. UCLA and USC: challenged the whole Relay to see who could outdo the other – in teams registered online and total fundraising California Division: California challenged all Relayers in April to up their fundraising efforts. Everyone took to the challenge and we raised $750,862 online! The top online fundraisers for the week won a portable hard-drive.
