Chess Jungle Animals By Cleo Tishler
3
My Chess Board For my chess board, I chose the theme ‘Jungle Animals”. I chose that theme because I really like jungle animals. I thought it would be really cool to make a chess board out of the different varieties of animals that live in the jungle.
4
Why I Chose The Lion And The Tiger I chose the lion to be king because, of the song Leo The Lion. “ Leo the Lion is the king of the jungle…..” I chose the tiger to be queen because, in the jungle it seemed that the tiger has just as much authority as the lion, but the lion seemed that tiny bit more significant.
5
Why I Chose The Buffalo And The Rhinoceros I chose the buffalo because, in this animation it seemed that the buffalo was kneeling before the king and queen, and the word that struck me when I saw it was loyalty and the bishop has to be loyal. I chose the rhinoceros because it has a lot of rough skin for armor, and it is very strong. In this picture it looks dangerous and that is what knights are supposed to be.
6
Why I Chose the Zebra And the Bird I chose the Zebra because it is a well known animal, and it plays an essential role in the jungle animal community. It is a very graceful animal. I think it is castle material. I chose the bird because it is a resourceful animal, and it would be useful in battle. Also, it can very quickly become the hunter instead of the prey, using its razor-sharp beak and finely honed talons as great weapons. It would make a great pawn.
7
Why I Chose The Panther and The Jaguar I chose the panther because he seems like a fierce animal. Not quite a match for the lion but fierce enough. I chose the jaguar because she is a fast animal, but elegant at the same time. In this animation she looks ready for a fight.
8
Why I Chose the Buffalo and The Elephant. I chose the buffalo because like I mentioned before, in this animation it seemed that the buffalo was kneeling before the king and queen, and the word that struck me when I saw it was loyalty and the bishop has to be loyal. I chose the elephant because, he has a strong rough skin, and deadly tusks, elephants also have a very long memory, and they would be loyal to those who are kind to them in the past.
9
Why I Chose The Giraffe and the Monkey. I chose the giraffe because, it would be a very valuable animal to have on your side in a battle. It would remain loyal to you no matter what and it would show an enormous amount of respect. I chose the monkey because, they are known to be very smart. In this animation they look ready for a battle, they look united with each other, they will go to any length to protect you.

The End I hope you like my chess board, I worked hard on it. I think it would be really cool if you had a life sized chess board played with real animals.
