4 ways to reduce your carbon footprint.

1. turn down your thermostat. Even by the degree, turning down your household thermostat can have a huge impact on the environment with strength in numbers. On average, you can save about 3% of your heating bill by turning down your thermostat by one degree.

2. consider veganism. It’s a fact that being a consumer for meat and animal by- products contributes to the global warming epidemic. With a simple dietary change there is less demand for these products, so there will be less produced.

3. don’t support big oil. The oil industry is the biggest hurdle. Right now, engineers are paving the way for substitutes and eventually a final replacement for crude oil. There hasn’t been a breakthrough yet for many reasons, including that the fact that the government has it’s hands all over the oil industry. One available alternative is inexpensive grease car, which is a car that runs on vegetable oil. A lot of people just simply don’t have the cash to make their engine to be compatible vegetable oil, but if you’re concerned with the environment and looking to save money in the long run, this just might be for you. Usually you get the oil you need from local restaurants free of charge because they have to pay to have it disposed anyway.

invest in energy efficient light bulbs! to save yourself some money in the future while having the environment in mind, give your home a light bulb makeover. it’s true that the new spiral florescent light bulbs are 10 times longer lasting than an average light bulb and uses 75% less energy.
