CONCLUSION AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS Different stress conditions influence VSMC phenotype in BAV aorta. Characterize CTGF as a regulator of VSMC activation and ECM remodeling could serve as a risk stratification tool for BAV- and TAV-associated aortopathies.
