2. About the Book
Because of Winn-Dixie is a book about a girl named Opal who is having a difficult life when she moved to Florida. One day, Opal’s dad, the preacher, sent her to the Winn-Dixie market to buy 2 tomatoes and cheese. At the market, she met a dog who needed a home. Opal named the dog Winn-Dixie and bought him home. Opal wasn’t taking care of Winn-Dixie, he was taking care of her. Winn-Dixie helped Opal get used to Florida and helped her meet some new friends.

3. The Movie
Because of Winn-Dixie’s movie came out in It stars Annasophia Robb, Jeff Daniels, Cicely Tyson, Dane Matthews, and Eva Marie Saint.
