6 Data and Results No one demonstrated knowledge of terms waning and waxing on pretest, but 4/5 were able to at least express a partially correct answer on the posttest. Everyone was able to illustrate full moon and crescent moon on pretest…but 80% of the students were able to illustrate each stage of the moon cycle on the posttest! 7 Data Interpretation Need to spend more time on short answer responses…sentence structure, punctuation, and in general how to effectively begin an answer to a short answer question. 8 Overall Reflection The lesson didn’t lend itself to research or learning related to the ocean tides phenomena…this information was gained through general discussion as they made their flip books. A movie clip would help expound on this topic. A movie clip would help expound on this topic. Maybe another day to work on moon phases would have been helpful for the student who refused to participate??
