What happened: During fuel transfer, oil sheen appeared in water. Conducted dive survey and discovered a 3” crack in hull, near fuel tank. Pictures indicate the crack in the hull, and the repair done with Splash Zone

What happened: Pump malfunction on waste oil tank caused overflow of tank and subsequent discharge into the Hood Canal at a slow rate for approx 23 min. Boom/sorbents in place and 5 skimming vsls o/s cleaning CG response team on scene w/ state and other federal partners to assist in clean up Case and investigation are on-going Initially reported as 50 gals of oily water discharged on shore with some sheening in water – fully contained in boom – on Feb 10th Rcvd second NRC report via WSDOT of a large sheen throughout Hood Canal

WHAT HAPPENED:SIGNIFICANCE: Vessel lift attempt was unsuccessful due to hull integrity issues. Operations halted due to fish window closure Department of Natural Resources will contract to re-attempt lift when fish window reopens in July. USCG to stand by for on water recovery assistance.
