As a woman and a lay person, I was invisible - the Church never used to listen to me. Now I can.... A s a Sikh/ Hindu/ Jew, my Catholic neighbours used to ignore me., thinking my religion was wrong..Now I never learnt Latin at school so I never understood what the priest was saying at Mass. Now...
