3 Welcome to the AAC Language Lab! Purpose: AAC implementation is often a challenge Where do we start? Where are we going/what is our vision? How do we implement language with AAC? The AAC Language Lab is designed to give support for a planned, organized intervention method that supports: Normal language learning experiences Gradual building of vocabulary

5 Language Stages: Determine which language stage best describes the individual. May refer to Language Development at this point Devices and Unity: Awareness of the stage supports you in selecting an appropriate Unity vocabulary. 14 You can access the Teaching Materials Exchange on PRC’s main website. To access materials appropriate for your stage, first enter the device you are using, and then the vocabulary. Our Stage 3 device user is using a Vantage Lite with Unity 60 Sequenced.
