Heller  Individuals right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.

6. Regulation of Firearms  Where does the power of congress to regulate firearms come from? Article I, Section 8, Clause 3, of the U.S. Constitution. Commerce Clause - Congress may regulate commercial activity between the states and commerce with foreign countries.  Australia – stricter gun ownership laws – 50% reduction in risk of dying by gunshot.  1979 to 1987 690,000 people assaulted by criminals with firearms.
