I’m Ianis and I’m Aromanian. Together with my mother I sing in the vocal group “Lilicii dit Mai” (Flowers of May). My costume is designed as a genuine one and it’s composed from “fustanela”, a white shirt which has many folds and is made of wool and “conduşa”, a vest that is on top. On the head I wear a lamb fur cap. I wear “taruhi” shoes made of pigskin and long socks made of wool.

Here I am with my mother. Her costume is older than 70 years. It consists of a white cotton shirt, over it is a long velvet dress (“plisirna”) with many folds and over it she wears an apron. She always wears this costume with pride because it was my grandmother’s wedding dress.

I’m Dragos. Now I’m older. My sister’s name is Miruna. She’s now in 5 th grade.
