Chemical properties 3. Biological properties The nature of these properties determines how the soil behaves in supporting plant life.

But these properties are changed by the practices followed in crop production i.e. agriculture modifies soils. Good soils are good to the extent farmers makes use of them. Our longer-term goal is to keep building up the soil and leave it in better condition than how we found it. That starts with the healthy soil.
