Unit 1002 Information, quantities and communicating with others © Pearson Education 2010 Printing and photocopying permitted Document security ●Some documents contain sensitive information (addresses, national insurance numbers, etc.) ●The Data Protection Act (1998) orders all companies that hold personal information to keep it secure and to only use for what it was provided for. ●Drawings must also be kept secure as they are a permanent record of what is happening on site.

What information does it give you?

They contain: ●Material descriptions – type, size, quality, moisture content, etc. ●Restrictions – working hours, limited access, etc. ●Services – services available, services to be connected, type of connection, etc. ●Workmanship – methods of fixing, quality of work, type of finish, etc. ●Site description

Used on bigger sites with multiple types of houses, with different components and fittings. Can also be used on smaller jobs, e.g. a blocks of flats with 200 windows of 5 types.

What information can you get from a bar chart?
