What is London? What can you see and visit in London? Sightseeings of London: 1. The Tower of London. 2. St. Paul’s Cathedral. 3. Trafalgar Square, Admiral Nelson’s monument, National Gallery. 4. Parliament Square, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben.

London is one of the most important cities of the world. It is a centre for business and for tourism. London is the biggest city in Britain. More than 7 million people live and work there. It is the capital of England.

You can visit some interesting places in the oldest part of London called City or near it. One of them is the Tower of London. It was built in the 11 th century and it was: a fortress Now it is the museum. a palace a prison the King’s Zoo

Then we can go to St.Paul’s Cathedral that is not far from the Tower of London. It was built in the 17 th century by Sir Christopher Wren. As you can see it is a beautiful building with many columns and towers. In one of its towers there is one of the largest bells in the world.

This beautiful square is in the centre of London. A tall column in the middle of the square is a monument to Admiral Nelson. There are two beautiful fountains in the square. They are in front of the National Gallery which is one of the best galleries of the world.

A wide street called Whitehall will lead you to a very large square called Parliament Square. There you can see a long grey building with towers which are the Houses of Parliament. The large clock in one of the towers is Big Ben. You can hear the sound of Big Ben every hour in London.

On the other side of Parliament square is Westminster Abbey. It is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in London. Many English kings and queens are buried there. Not far from Westminster Abbey you can see Westminster Bridge.
